Danes never cease to amaze

Postby APBTLuvr » 07 January 2010, 2:16 AM

I am the proud parent of a 32" 110lb 13mo old Great Dane, named Bambi... Well we recently decided to get her a crate, because she LOVES to chew the couches... We figured that with her never being crate trained, let alone seen one from the inside, she would need to grow accustomed to it.... Well UPS delivered it today, a BNIB factory direct, 48 x 38 x 30 pink, two door crate with a metal bottom.... My wife and I wrestled it out of the box and set it up... She no sooner got the quilt down, to pad the bottom, and in goes Bambi... She looked around, circled, laid down (falling with style lol ), and promptly fell asleep.... I'm not complaining, this dog is just a never ending enigma... We decided to push our luck, and lock the door..... She responded by starting to snore..... No complaining at all.... If only it was this simple with all dogs.

Well, we have a grandfather clock. The other day, Bambi was quietly sleeping in her crate, Mommy was in the bathroom, I was at the store getting dinner.... Our two younger children, got behind the clock, which was nestled in caddy corner on the other side of the room from the crate... And knocked it over, now Bambi has decided she doesn't want to be in the crate.... Sheesh, back to square -2.....
